LABOR SUPPORT
During labor, I:
- Acknowledge and support your desired methods of coping with labor as we take each challenge minute by minute. I offer:
- Movement, breathing and other pain management techniques
- Encouragement, visualization, and power statements
- Physical comfort tools: massage, acupressure, hot/cold packs, aromatherapy, TENS unit, and more…
- Assist your partner, offering reassurance, guidance, and emotional comfort for you and their experience
- Advocate for you by:
- Facilitating communication between you and your medical team
- Offering access to information about benefits, risks, and alternatives to any procedure before you make a decision
- Encouraging you to ask questions and stand up for what you feel is right for you and your baby
