We had an incredible experience working with Liz at Love In Motion. She is so knowledgeable about birth and pregnancy so it made it so easy and comfortable for us. My birth experience, though long, was amazing. I had a fully natural, unmedicated birth which I wanted and Liz was so gentle and supportive throughout the entire birth. She really understood my preferences and made sure to support them while I was in birth. Her encouragement and suggestions during birth were extremely helpful...she did the thinking for me so I could be in the zone during my birth.
I also really appreciate that she's a certified Hypno-Doula which was really important to me. She truly made my birth experience great and I would highly recommend her to any mamas looking for a doula.

Definitely one of the best investments we made as new parents. Liz helped our family for 3 months postpartum as a overnight doula. Our daughter came earlier than we anticipated, and was diagnosed with severe acid reflux and GERD (underdevelopment from coming early) causing an extra challenge for us as career focused parents. Liz stepped in and was like a Mary Poppins dream. She always arrived on time, and I mean on the minute. Never failed to show up. She was always so friendly and down to earth, and got things done in the middle of the night so we could SLEEP. She soothed our daughter in ways we couldn't. She did baby laundry, washed bottles, and most importantly established a routine for tiny colicky daughter. At 3.5 months, upon Liz's departure, our daughter is getting 6-9 hour stretches consistently in her crib alone with out us in the room. I owe that to Liz. She woke up to tend to the baby so we could be better parents during the day. I will always be forever grateful for her would HIGHLY recommend her to other new parents. Liz you are AMAZING!!

After a traumatizing previous birth, it was really important to me to have a better birth experience. Liz really helped me prepare for having a successful VBAC in so many ways. During the birth she was there for every step. I know my husband felt more confident having her there as well. I truly believe if she wasn't there the medical team would have pushed another c-section on me when things seemed like they were not progressing. But she helped get the VBAC and birth that i wanted. Liz is worth her weight in gold. I really wish I hired her for my first birth.

Liz is an amazing Birth Doula who worked with us from the beginning of our pregnancy, to the end. She was available for countless phone calls, texts and emails throughout my entire pregnancy. She was a sounding board, safe haven and invaluable resource. She was a huge help for me and my husband leading up to, during and after our baby's birth. Everything was so much easier because of her. Why hire a doula? Not only do they provide education, support, and resources for pregnancy, birth and babies, but they provide ADVOCACY. It's hard navigating through all the ins and outs of birth, especially when your "plan" goes out the window. They are your biggest advocate. I HIGHLY recommend you get one for your birth if you are *lucky* enough to be in a position to do so.

"Liz was an incredible resource leading up to labor and delivery, as well as during and afterwards. During labor she provided me with encouraging, kind, heartfelt support, as well as guiding my husband and mom as to helpful ways to comfort my pain during contractions. I highly recommend having her on your birth team - it made all the difference for me in regards to lessening anxiety leading up to the big event. Liz has continued to share resources postpartum and I consider her a wealth of knowledge. She's a fantastic doula!"

"Liz really made the environment peaceful and calm and was a HUGE help getting me through contractions. She is so healing and calm! Her presence alone is nice on the soul :) No improvement notes. I would you strongly recommend Liz. I would hire her again for sure!"

"Liz did a great job in thoroughly explaining what to expect as a first time mom giving birth. If and when we have a second child, we will definitely be enlisting Liz's help again! The prenatal calls and visits were perfect. Liz is a great listener and very respectful of your birth plan, whatever that may be. My only regret was not calling Liz sooner, as things progressed much quicker than expected. Lesson learned and I will be calling her earlier next time :)"

"Thank you for everything you did for us during labor and delivery! It was everything I was hoping for when we signed up [for our Rose doula]. Even in the hardest moments, you were so encouraging and really helped me (literally) push through. We'll definitely pass along your name to anyone who's considering a doula in their pregnancies!
I like that you let us come to you with what we had questions on and you provided resources for us in addition to answering our questions. We loved having the initial resources you provided - it was definitely helpful when putting together our birth plan. We also loved being able to reach out to you after our appointments and being able to keep in touch prior to the actual delivery. Even though we hadn't been in touch in person, it was a really nice touch to be able to know we could rely on you when it was the right time. I particularly appreciated that when you arrived, you just jumped right in and gave encouragement and let me work through the contractions in the way it felt best to me. You are so flexible, encouraging, kind, competent, knowledgeable."

"I think doulas are super helpful if you want a natural birth and Liz, who was recommended by my midwife group, was awesome!
We met with Liz a couple times prior to the birth and I always knew that I could contact her with any questions or if I wanted to meet up again. When it came time for labor, she met us at the hospital (Castle Rock Adventist) at 2:30 am with her bag of tricks (essential oils, TENS unit, etc). She was calming and encouraging, gave suggestions and took direction throughout labor, and really helped me through another natural birth.
A week or two after the birth, Liz came to our house and brought us a spaghetti dinner and other goodies!"

"My baby girl was born on September 22nd. I was 41 weeks exactly. My other 2 kids were born 2-3 weeks early so I was expecting this little one a lot earlier than 41 weeks. :) So as you can imagine, the last 2-4 weeks of my pregnancy were the longest ever, or so it seemed that way then. And I think they were the hardest emotionally for me as well. I wasn't sure what was going to happen and I was starting to doubt myself and my body's ability to birth a 3rd baby naturally after a long break since the last one. :-)
Liz was always there to listen to me rant on on how worried I was. She supported me in more ways than I could have asked for. She kept encouraging me that it would all be OK and baby would come when she was ready. She always had a positive word to give to me. It kept me going each day and each time I needed it the most. She always had a way with her words and she was always filled with such positive energy. It was energy that I very much needed to keep me going until the end. I was very thankful for the extra support that I had from her. I have wondered, since the birth of my baby, how I managed without a doula years ago. :-) She helped me get through so many painful contractions and during the birth of my baby girl, her words truly helped keep me going. There were moments when I thought I couldn't do it anymore but those positive words of encouragement kept me going until the very end.
Words can be very powerful in the right moments! I am so thankful for Liz! I had such a wonderful birth experience that I will never forget. I got the birth that I wanted and dreamed of and I am thankful she was a part of all of it! :-) Thank You so much!!!! <3"

"I had my first baby on 10/5/17. As every first time parent, I was scared about everything. Labor and delivery seemed to be terrifying. When my friend found Liz online, she called me. Both of us about to be single moms not knowing what to do about anything; me reading too much stuff and her not reading anything to keep out all negatives, Liz was an angel for us.
Yes, she coached me to conquer my fears of labor, but she became a friend in the process. She made me comfortable and answered all questions, even the ones that are a little too personal. When she arrived during labor I felt a calmness enter the room while my best friend and baby daddy were slightly panicked. Even though I did have to get an epidural and Pitocin, she still found a way to keep me moving, used the oils and calmed my breathing. I even found a way to clear my head and meditate while she was there compared to the swearing I was doing before she had arrived. She kept me calm and grounded from the moment she entered the room through all of delivery and after when she would check up on me. I can't imagine my delivery without her!
Although nothing went as planned, we made it happen. I have a beautiful baby girl and she was able to talk me thru each step of the way. I highly recommend Liz as a doula. If by chance I ever have the opportunity to have another child, Liz will definitely be there."

"It was helpful to have another knowledgeable resource throughout the process and at the end when things were getting a little hairy! Liz was warm and genuine which made it easy for me to talk to her and ask questions, relate, feel confident in her abilities, and generally enjoy getting to know her. For someone in her position, I think that is especially important and something she should be praised for.
I loved that Liz came by our hospital room after the baby was born to check in. Again - she just comes off as a caring person and we were very appreciative of her support.

"My husband and I reached out to Liz when we found out we were pregnant. My midwife recommended Liz to me because I was having a hard time finding someone who was 1. available and 2. meshed with both of us. My midwife had worked with Liz in the past and had great things to say about her. It meant a lot to me that my midwife highly recommended her because I respected my midwife’s opinion.
Liz was wonderful to work with. We met with her several times before my delivery. She listened to what I was wanting for my delivery and had so many resources and information to make both my husband and I feel like we were as prepared as we could be. Her personality was calming and reassuring. Also, her vast experience as a doula was impressive. Even when our plans drastically changed (my son was breech and I had low amniotic fluid levels). They had to schedule a c-section 3 weeks early. She was there through the entire thing. We had to prep for an entirely different delivery last minute. She came to the hospital and stayed by our side all the way till the recovery room after the operation. Her service didn’t stop there! A few days after my birth she came to the house with a delicious meal and more information to help with postpartum recovery.
All in all, Liz was wonderful! I highly recommend her as a doula."

"I just had my first baby, I was so terrified. You hear all the horror stories of labor. And being only 20 years old, I was completely terrified of going through something so life-changing. I met Liz through a mutual friend and she was a God-send. I had my mom and my son's father's support while in labor but none of us knew what to expect. I was in labor for 21 hours, the first 8ish weren't terrible, minor contractions it was bearable. Liz did lots of walking, breathing, massaging, oils. She made me feel like a queen and helped cater to anything and everything that could make the next contraction THAT much easier. After the "easy part" of labor was over, they inserted a Foley bulb into my cervix to help me progress. I shot from 1 cm dilated to 7 almost 8 in only 45 mins and I had contractions on top of each other. I finally asked for my epidural. Which unfortunately failed, finally I got to a 9 and stopped progressing. My son's head was tilted [asynclitic] and needed to be turned in order for me to deliver. Liz worked very closely with my nurses and they helped move me into different positions to get his head to turn. I fear if we didn't have her extensive knowledge, I would have needed a c-section. Finally, I reached 10 cm and we began to push. I was so weak and tired, Liz held my legs up for me for over an hour and walked me through each push, reminding me how close I was to holding my baby boy. And he finally arrived at 3:22am on August 15th after over 24 hours of labor.
Liz spent precious time away from her family and her own children to help me bring my own into the world. I couldn't be more thankful to her. Honestly, I couldn't have done it without her.
I was really iffy on having a doula at first, but I am so glad I decided to ask Liz for her help. Any future children I have, I will definitely be knocking on her door."
